Remove the coordination burden
Groupump asked users to organize a group before launch. AgentCTO removed that job: AI proposed candidates, the community signaled preference, and a daily cutoff surfaced a winner.

removed
Users no longer had to form and coordinate a group before they could signal interest.
- Situation
- The original Groupump thesis asked people to co-create a meme-coin launch so participation could begin as a group. Adoption stayed weak: creators preferred simpler flows, smaller holders lacked the structure to coordinate, and the group requirement added work before value.
- Decision
- We stopped asking users to organize the idea themselves. AI proposed the candidates; the community only needed to signal which one deserved attention.
- What changed
- AgentCTO turned the coordination problem into a repeatable ritual: AI proposes, the community retweets and responds, and a daily cutoff surfaces the most-supported candidate. The live product’s historical copy conflicts on exact launch timing, so no stricter mechanism claim is made here.
- Result
- The product outcome was a smaller participation job and a repeatable daily format. It demonstrates the pivot clearly without claiming undocumented adoption, token performance, or revenue.
- What carried forward
- When users will not perform a required job, more instruction may not help. Redesign the system so they no longer need to perform that job.
